I know how this sounds ahah. But please let me explain.
When you go shopping and have hyperhidrosis, that small trick can go a long way!
Even though I have learned over time what fabrics, colors, shapes, etc. to get for my clothes, I still sometimes look at a piece of clothing and hesitate: it probably won’t show sweat but … what if?
So before I buy something, and when I doubt, I put the piece though a quick test: I lick my finger and put it on the piece! This matters more than ever now that so many everyday clothes borrow from activewear and technical fabrics — those synthetic blends behave very differently from cotton when they get wet, so the trick is worth doing even on pieces that don’t look athletic at all.
- If it left a trace, it’s no good, it means it will show sweat a lot!
- If it does not show then bingo, I can buy it!
